Tim Simboli, lifelong resident of the Philadelphia region, is a fourth generation artist. He received his training at Temple University's Tyler School of Art. After graduating, he travelled to Rome, Italy where he immersed himself in the study of landscape and still life. Over the years, he has worked in a variety of mediums, but has recently concentrated on pastels for achieving the rich color-layering that is his trademark. Tim is a member of the Creative Artists Network in Philadelphia and was elected in the fall of 2002 to the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Watercolor Society. He was the recipient of the Louisa Melrose Gallery Award in 2002. His work has been exhibited in the United States and Europe and appears in numerous private collections in the United States.
